GRASSROOT EMPOWERMENT NETWORK (GEN) is a non-government and non-profit making organization committed to promoting the economic, social and educational empowerment of the rural and urban poor in Nigeria especially in the Niger Delta. As a vehicle for actualizing its objectives, the foundation would focus on the rights and economic empowerment of persons identified to have few options: women and youth, the foundation will partner with the Nigeria Government, large corporations and international organizations to translate lofty developmental strategies under the auspices of MDG’s, NEEDS, SEEDS amongst others into reality within the local communities in the Niger Delta.
