GRASSROOT EMPOWERMENT NETWORK (GEN) is a private, non-government organizational based in Port Harcourt in the Rivers State of Nigeria. GEN was registered in December 2006 with the Corporate Affairs Commission under the Incorporated Trustees Act of 1990 with RC. No. 22477. The focus of GEN is to facilitate the economic, social and educational development of less priviledge rural and urban dwellers in Nigeria especially in the Niger Delta Region. GEN is therefore to undertake and achieve meaningful people-oriented developmental programs that would trigger the empowerment of the less priviledged but achieve segment of the populace: women, youth and the poor in general. The essence is to provide a basis for growth in income and welfare through skill development, asset acquisition and access to rewarding economic opportunities. |
